Ca Mau
Ca Mau is located at the southernmost extremity of the country. It is surrounded by Kien Giang in the north, Bac Lieu in the east, the Gulf of Thailand in the west, and the East Sea in the southeast. The Kinh and Khmer are the main ethnic groups living in this special area.

Sights Ca Mau market Market in Ca mau like a supermarket as the sell everything here. There?s also a floating market here that you can visit Cao Dai Temple This temple is not large as the Cam dai Temple in Tay Ninh but it seems to be farily active. This is also a nice place to visit and it?s staffed by friendly monks.
Getting there and around By boat You can get Ca Mau by a cargo boats from Ho Chi Minh ( Saigon) once every four days and from Rach Gia with a daily ferry Pier B ( you can take bike or mortobike on board). Or from U Minh Forests that departs from Ferry Pier A. By bus The trip takes 11 hours from Mien Tay bus station in Saigon to Camau and about 8 hours for daily express bus. The bus leave Ho Chi Minh from 5am to 1030 am Cama bus station is 2.5 km from the center of town, along the Hwy 1 towards Saigon. By Car and Motobike Ca Mau is 178 km from Can Tho ,takes 3 hours driving and 347km from Ho Chi Minh, takes 8 hours driving Around Camau Ca Mau Bird Sanctuary : Ca Mau?s bird sanctuary is actually 45 km south-east of the town in the Dam Roi District. It is a living and gathering place of indigenous storks. The birds make their nests in tall trees and spend their mornings searching for food; the perfect opportunity for tourists to take out the cameras. Ca Mau Tourist Company has a one-day bird-watching program by boat.
U Minh Forest : A large percentage of Ca Mau province?s area is covered by forest; 150,000 ha being alluvial soils, typical of the tropical monsoon climate. Being flooded everyday by tidal waters, the salt-bearing trees grow in this environment with animals and microorganisms. U Minh Forest comprises several types of plants, the most common being mam, mangrove, and indigo. The biological productivity of this land is the highest among Vietnam?s ecosystems.
